CASE STUDY:
Temporary by name
not by nature

We designed, exported and built an insulated solution suitable for housing and craning the race boat for Emirates Team New Zealand. Standing proud on the waterfront of Port Vell Marina, Barcelona as their flagship boatshed whilst their team train for the 37th America’s Cup.

The structure’s cladding is eye catching and the perfect representation of this premium brand. The temporary building provides substantial space for repair, maintenance and storage, and it’s demountable design means that it can be relocated anywhere in the world.

Meticulous design and delivery

When we were approached by Emirates Team New Zealand to build their Team Boat Base in Barcelona ahead of the 37th America’s Cup, we had no doubt that the The Horizon would deliver on their brief.

Throughout the initial design stage, we worked closely with our client to ensure that the structure would meet their exact needs. From the size of the door to allow for loading in and out, to the height and square meterage of the internal mezzanines to allow for easy access to maintain the race boat, each part of this structure is delivered to work as an ideal solution for our end client.

The build of this impressive structure took a total of three months to complete. This included installation of a crane into the roof of our structure, which demonstrates the incredible structural integrity of this temporary building.

Our talented and experienced team members worked through any geographical and logistical challenges to ensure the successful delivery of this large scale building.
