Sun Shade Canopy
We designed, shipped and built a bespoke Grandstand canopy for the Adelaide 500 in South Australia. The canopy was a vital part of the event infrastructure as it would act as a 210 metre sun shade to provide as much cover as possible to spectators at the track.
Bespoke design & delivery
Our in-house CAD and manufacturing departments collaborated closely to design a custom solution for this client to fit over their existing grandstand seats. The 8-bay structure with bespoke size PVC roof sheets provided a grandstand canopy for the pit straight of the infamous Adelaide500 event.
Working alongside other SA contractors to ensure key timelines were met, we craned the temporary seating canopy into place once it had been constructed on the racetrack: Watch it here.
A key element of this project was that our client needed to be able to install and remove the canopy themselves when required, so we sent some of our most experienced site team to train them on the installation and removal of our product.
